Clothing hangers

Industrial Design
Work Overview
As the first in-house designer working at Arch & Hook I managed to set up design processes for custom as well as standard designs.

The example below was custom designed for a client with the goal to slim down the hanger range needed in the store of our client whilst keeping the entire collection of suits properly displayed in the store.
Design Challenges
In the hanger industry, each penny matters, so I strive for a fast production run, and use as little plastic as possible, whilst keeping strength, ergonomics and aesthetics in mind.

For this specific project, I was responsible for the client briefing, conceptualization, testing of the prototypes in the store and technical documentation.

For a custom design project for a specific client, it's essential to involve the customer closely with each design sprint: concept, prototyping, detailing and sampling. I hand-delivered the first prototypes and together tested the performance in store.

CAD software: Sub-D modeling (Fusion 360)
