I’m a curious jack of all trades with an industrial design background, and I'm fascinated with "phygital" design; where a digital experience merges with a physical product.
I consider myself an empathetic problem solver with a strong drive for process optimization and automation; apart from its result, a process can’t ever be final.

As an Industrial Design Strategist, Floor is driven by a deep sense of empathy for both the world and its occupants. With a focus on sustainability and social impact, Floor approaches every project with a holistic perspective, considering not only the aesthetics and functionality of the designs, but also the long-term impact on the environment and the people who will use them.
Floor's work has been recognized for its innovation, earning a spot in the finals of the Blue City circular design challenge and the HEMA design awards. Floor has also been involved in a government granted design research aiming to revolutionize European bamboo production, reducing the material's carbon offset by producing locally.
Floor excels at striking a balance between simplicity and functionality in her designs through a combination of user-centric and material-driven methodologies. Her standout graduation project led to a role in the conceptual installation project "Hortus Bionica," in which she explored how dynamic textiles could improve the viewer's relationship with their architectural environment by optimizing energy retention, light conditions, and acoustics.
In 2019, Floor joined Arch & Hook as the company's first in-house industrial designer, determined to make a significant impact on the B2B market with sustainable solutions for the fashion and retail industry. She quickly established the foundations for the design department, focusing on producing high-quality, sustainable products with excellent functionality. Today, Floor leads both the Design and R&D departments at Arch & Hook and its holding group, Archwey, during the exciting scale-up phase of the company.
In addition to her professional work, Floor is also deeply committed to giving back to the community. She volunteered with a board sport association 'DERM' as chairman of the sustainability team, to help reduce the ecological footprint.
